I just became aware that we were both stood on the green staring down the road where it intersects with Broadway. Probably no more than 30ft above the houses on the crossroads was a long cigar shaped spacecraft. It’s hard to recall the exact details and it seemed to just hang there motionless for what seemed like several minutes. But then the most amazing thing happened. It split in half vertically down the middle, creating two bullet-shaped craft. First the one on the left shot off on a level and was gone within a second. Then the one on the right shot off at an arc and headed straight up into the sky. Again within a second it was out of sight.” (IN-Med). (Carter). (uk-ufo).

Witness (B) stated: “On the date in question, three friends and I decided to go fishing down Stanford Lane on the River Soar. The light decreased so much that we decided to stop fishing and to boil some soup. After this we tried to get some sleep and at about 11.30 p.m., my friend ‘_____ - noticed a bright light in the sky across the road at a reasonably low height. This light was very bright indeed and tended to dazzle me a little. This light decreased in intensity and then increased again but not to the same brightness as before. After 2 minutes of hovering, the object moved westwards over Stanford. There was no sound of engines or propellers etc. Approaching Stanford, the craft increased in height (we could now see 2 white lights and a red one). The lights to the right were lighting an object above showing it to be round in shape, then the object on the left changed lights and showed the object to be cigar-shaped with a city on top. It then moved towards the object on the right sloping towards the other object. It disappeared behind the other object and dimmed its lights completely.” (PE-8N). (Holt). (lufoin).

Anyway, I stayed a little while and it came back, a yellow light which kept flashing, and it also had red in the centre, and it seemed to be square-shaped. Witness (A) stated: “ I was upstairs in my bedroom when I glanced through the window and saw an object in the sky. I thought at first that it was a planet but I realised that it was moving. I saw it at about 20 degrees elevation. The object was in the south when I first saw it and moving at a steady pace. It was last seen in the south-east. It moved from over farm land to over the cemetery. I first watched it for about three minutes upstairs, but then I went downstairs to another window and watched it for a further three minutes. After this time the object just vanished. It was circular in shape and golden/red in colour. The colour seemed to flicker during the sighting. There was no sound during the sighting. There wasn’t much in the way of cloud and the stars were visible.”

Witness (B) stated: “I was looking out of the bedroom window when I saw an object in the sky which I know was not a plane. Looking south, it was moving across the sky towards the south-east. It was quite large, and coloured red and gold. It was flying above the chimney pot, went over the farm land disappearing completely over the trees of the cemetery.” (IN-NL). (Martin). (lufoin).

51/80/46. 27 August 1980 - 01:15 - Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK - A large, glowing orange light in the sky was observed by female witness. Witness stated: “I got up and drew the curtains back because it was so hot. The big window was already open and I pushed it further back. I then saw this big orange light in the sky, the shape of it reminded me of a teacup. It had a small light on it. The light was slowly spinning and the more I looked at it, the brighter it seemed to shine. There wasn’t a star in the sky, and not a street light on, it was a very clear night. I became very scared so I went to the bathroom, hoping my eyes would feel more wake, but when I went back to the window, the light had gone. It was visible for about five minutes.” (IN-NL). (Lewis). (lufoin).

-1994-

51/94/10. 12 May 1994 -01:30 - Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK - A small aerial object was observed hovering above a field. Witness (A) stated: “We observed a small UFO hovering over a field/farmhouse moving in a random fashion in all directions on our way home from Nottingham in the early hours of the morning on a very bright (full moon) summer’s night. We were chatting in the car and watching casually out of the windows. I looked out to the left of the car and observed a strange object that appeared to be hovering. Being in motion and with the car passing trees and shrubs by the side of the road (we were in the countryside)it was difficult to get a good view of what it was. My friend who was driving glanced in the direction of this thing and neither of us could make out quite what it was so I got him to pull over to the side of the road so that we could take a closer look. We exited the car but still couldn't quite see it clearly enough because of the shrubbery so we climbed on top of the car. Still a bit bemused by it all we stared in the direction of this thing and when our eyes had a chance to adjust to the light we both observed a disc-shaped object with three lights across its centre - red, white and green. It was across a field some 100 yards away. thanks to the fact that there was a farmhouse close by we got a very good idea of size which i would put at only 8 to 10 feet across and maybe some 6-7 foot high. It did not appear to be spinning and was completely silent. It hovered in one position for several minutes then moved very randomly up and down left and right, sometimes in a figure eight yet it didn't move any great distance. It didn't move any more than 40 yards than it's original position. we just stood amazed. It was in the same area as I said to a farmhouse and at first we thought it must be attached to the high cables coming from the building, but when we watched it move we realised this was impossible. It moved very slowly. After watching it for maybe 20-25 minutes I got anxious and wanted to take a closer look. My idea of walking across the field to investigate it, was met by a brick wall from my friend. This whole event had somewhat disturbed him, he was quite obviously frightened by whatever it might be and being an absolute disbeliever of anything on this subject - he just wanted to get out of there. I tried to talk him into it but there was no chance. He got panicky and told me to get in the car. When I did he sped off. I watched the broken vision of the object still hovering through the back window and to this day I wish I had been stronger willed and gone on my own to see what this thing was. We got such a close clear look at it. Being a non driver at the time I had no idea where exactly we were and would love to go back to ask the people living in the farmhouse if they had experienced anything. I still live within 20 miles of where this must have happened.” (IN-Med). (nuforc).

Witness (A) stated: “My colleague and I were working at a gatehouse when we were distracted by two bright orange lights rising up towards the sky. We went outside to have a closer look when there were 7 other bright orange lights in the sky travelling slowly towards Loughborough town centre. One light stopped, got brighter, flickered a little and then moved on a lot faster then the other lights. They all disappeared into the sky but a minute or two later one more followed in the same direction and disappeared. This whole ordeal lasted around 15 minutes.” (PE-5C). (uk-ufo).

51/09/92. 1 October 2009 - 17:30 - Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK - A bright, glowing orange object was observed at rooftop height. It remained at this position for roughly 10 minutes, and then moved away toward the town centre, at a casual speed. It made no sound whatsoever, and at intervals of roughly 30 seconds, emitted a yellow substance from underneath, which dripped down and then disappeared.” (IN-Med). (lufoin).

Witness stated: “I saw 3 red lights in a triangle, moving fast, not high, about helicopter flying height, travelling north, distortion of dark area around the triangular shape created by the lights. At one point one light seemed to move, stretching the triangular shape and then it moved straight back to reform the even triangle shape. Visible for about 7 seconds. At one point at first sight, it seemed like it was flapping but when I looked carefully that didn’t seem to be the case. It made no noise whatsoever and made no turns at all.” (PE-5C). (uk-ufo).

51/11/53. 22 October 2011 - 01:45 - Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK - A bright flashing light was observed to come through bedroom curtains. Witness (A) stated: “My partner and I were in bed. My partner turned the bedside lamp off and around 5 minutes later we saw a bright flashing light coming through the curtain. I thought that a police car had pulled up outside so got up to see what was going on. As I opened the curtain the light vanished, I looked up and down the street and there was nothing there. Our street is about a mile long, there was nothing there at all. The lights were as if something was spinning. hovering right outside the window. I am a rational person and spent over 5 years in army aviation, I can’t explain it.” (IN-NL). (uk-ufo).
